Happy, Healthy, & 6 months old!

I cannot believe he is over halfway to being a year old. Time is flying by. I couldn't ask for a better little boy to call my son. God has truly blessed Daniel and I with Joshua. He is such a sweet, fun, healthy, and happy baby boy. His laugh can melt any heart.

Joshua, you have the sweetest soul. You love to laugh and hear mommy & daddy (and practically anybody) laugh. You are always trying to explore different things and seem to learn/do something new every day. You are so incredibly smart. Mommy and Daddy love you so much. You bring us more joy than I could ever express. We promise to always be there for you and provide for you in every way possible. God really answered our prayers when he gave us you. You are such a blessing.

*Accomplishments:
-20 lbs 6 oz. - 85%
-28 3/4 in long- 90% (yes, we have a big boy! He's a 1/4 inch short of the height max for his infant carrier car seat, so we had to buy a new convertible car seat). He can stay rear facing in it for as long as needed, and then it can be used forward facing as well. I really like this car seat and feel very safe with him in it.
-Rolls all over the place.
-Wants to crawl so bad- but still just kinda scoots a little bit.
-Passes toys from hand to hand
-Scrapes toys toward him.
-Still working on sitting on his own, but getting better about it
-Prefers to be standing over sitting. Makes me think he might be standing on his own before sitting on his own. haha. When I try to put him into a sitting position on the floor, he just wants to pull up into standing.
-Still teething like crazy. He gnaws on everything.
-is ticklish. Laughs so hard when you tickle him, especially his thighs.
-eats rice cereal, oatmeal, and still working on getting him to like green beans. Will also try sweet potatoes soon.
-Still waking up once or twice at night, but he is doing great sleeping in a sleep sack. He also has a blanket that he loves to sleep with now. It is great help at getting him to fall asleep.
-Gets so excited when he sees a toy or something that he really wants. It's so funny to watch him flap his arms all happy.
-Loves music. I usually listen to music and sing to him while I get ready for the day and he just stares and loves it. He also has a toy piano that he loves.
-His hair is growing a lot. It's so funny because the hair on top in the back just sticks straight up because it isn't long enough to lay down yet.

5 months! =)

Wow, can't believe our sweet boy is 5 months already. Here's what he can do:
-roll everywhere- like from one side of the room to the other
-trying to scoot on the floor
-laughs and giggles and coos like crazy
-can turn his body around like 90 degrees while playing on the floor
-reaches for ANYTHING out in front of him and puts it in his mouth
-sleeping in a sleep sack (like a wearable blanket) for the most part
-starting to drink out of a sippy cup
-teething like crazy.
-not sure on height/weight since no dr. visit this month
-happy baby most of the time (everyone always compliments on how happy and good he is- and his big, beautiful blue eyes)
-4 days after I turned 5 months, I tried rice cereal for the first time and LOVED it
-working on sitting, but loves standing so much that he prefers to do that so will pretty much want to pull up into a standing position after mommy puts him in a sitting position

Just all around super sweet baby =)

Valentine's Day

This year, I had not 1 Valentine, but 2! The best two Valentine's a girl could ask for. I am so blessed! =)

such handsome boys =)

yes, he is #1 with the ladies already. haha. I will have my hands full.

He gave me the best gift ever: a nap on me which rarely happens anymore. It was the sweetest.

4 months

So, I'm behind on doing this post, but our sweet boy turned 4 months old back on Feb. 2nd. He's growing up so fast!

*At 4 months: (as of Feb.2nd)
-got 2nd round of shots. He was a trooper and only cried for like a minute after the last one.
-18 lbs 6 oz
-26 inches.
-can roll both ways, but prefers back to tummy
-still swaddled when sleeping
-still sleeps 12-13 hours at night, but usually wakes up once or twice now.
-SO full of personality. If it's quiet, he has to make noise (unless he's sleeping). He loves to flirt and be the center of attention in a group of people.
-constantly complimented by others on how much of a happy baby he is
-reflux/spit up is a lot less and better
-can hold head steady
-loves to sit/stand with assistance
-grabs at toys, faces, phones, whatever is in front of him
-has the most adorable giggle
-had first playdate

-okayed to try cereal, but we haven't given it to him yet (still gotta get a high chair and all the feeding utensils)
